Earl Erik Heikka (1910-1941)

Earl Erik Heikka (1910-1941) documentary movie on his life & art... Part One ...Part Two

This documentary was produced by the Heikka Art Foundry in 1978. Filmed and directed by Dan Agulian, written and narrated by Mike C. Heikka, shot on locations in California, Colorado, Montana and New York. Earl E. Heikka created over 300 original sculptures during his short 12 year sculpturing career. This film shows many of his original clay sculptures and information on his life. He began sculpturing when he was a teenager living in Great Falls, Montana, during the 1930s era. Earl E. Heikka's big break came when he met Gary Cooper, the famous American actor. From that point on his art career flourished and he became friends with many wealthy "American" art collectors of that era.
